50th AnniversarySeason. A theatrical romp in which actors can’t, doors don’t, sardines should, and hilarity happens as the curtain (sometimes) goes up and down as the show goes on (or not)! Buffalo Trails Multisport Races
Each Memorial Day weekend, includes Duathlon -- a 2.45 mile run, 22 mile bike, 3.05 mile run; the Triathlon a 0.5 mile swim, 22 mile bike, 3.05 mile run; and the LastingMotion 5K is 3.05 miles. The course winds it way through downtown Maysville as well as western Mason County producing not only a challenging, but a scenic, course. (35th Annual Event) -3rd weekend in September). Washington dedicates this festival to our frontier hero who settled this area and lived here for 14 years. Simon once saved the life of his longtime friend, Daniel Boone. Kenton Kin come from many states for their annual reunion. Educational activities for children and adults. Twilight Christmas Parade
Spectacular floats, marching bands and Santa make this event a family favorite. Parade begins at 6 p.m. on East Second Street at Bridge Street. It proceeds west on Second Street, to Wall Street, north to Third Street, and back east to Bridge Street. Parade Line-up at 5:30pm on East Second street east of the CSX viaduct. No permit required.
Washington Opera Theatre Christmas Play in downtown Maysville. Children can meet Santa Claus, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, and be entertained by a fun performance.
Kentucky Gateway Museum Center Open House, downtown Maysville. Begins after the parade; refreshments, each child receives a gift. Contact 606-564-5865.
