August 23 – 11th Annual Fleming County Covered Bridge Festival
9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Goddard Bridge on Hwy. 32. There will be music, arts & crafts, food, a Civil War Living History exhibit, an antique tractor show, a quilt exhibit, live entertainment and more!

Vendors will be set up along Main Cross St, Railroad St, and the City Park. Food booths will be spaced among the craft/merchandise vendors. Vendors will be open for business from 8 am - dark on Saturday, and 9 am - 5 pm Sunday. There will be a proclamation by Gov. Garrard at noon Saturday and fun events include the three-legged sack race, watermelon seed spitting contest, and ice cream eating contest. In the afternoon there will be a square dance performance, Bluegrass music, a talent contest, and a Fleming County history trivia contest among teams from Fleming Co. schools. There will be a primitive camp site in the City Park recreating a 1700s-era site. Sunday afternoon will feature Gospel music on the main stage.
