Sarah Brown, the uptight “mission doll”, tries to reform the high rolling gambler, Skye Masterson.  Miss Adelaide, a nightclub performer, is sick and tired of being engaged to Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancé and an avid gambler, for fourteen years.  The music is playful and entertaining and the comedy is hilarious.
